An annual report covering creative activity across Charnwood between 2008 and 2009

This book stands as both a record and a celebration of the achievements of Charnwood Arts between 2008 and 2009 as well as pointing to a future trajectory for the organisation.  The book was originally created as a way of sharing the achievements of the organisation with partners, stakeholders and funders and to showcase the breadth of the work of Charnwood Arts.      It was created at a moment when the local and national economy along with the arts sector were in a great deal of flux.

In particular, the book focuses participatory work that has a very direct and positive affect on people’s lives.  The book explores how art weaves its way into so many aspects of our lives such as health, well being, mental health, learning and fitness. It does this by acknowledging projects that are designed to have a positive effect on both the individual, large groups of people and society in general through community cohesion initiatives, multifaith projects and bringing people together through celebration.
