A book exploring the village of Newtown Linford

This book, originally created in 2015, depicts a portrait of the village of Newtown Linford, which is located just northwest of the city of Leicester in Leicestershire. The book has been created by interns from National Cheng Kung University, Taiwan and the text was written by Terry Allen from Charnwood Arts in 2002 for the original People Making Places project.

The book provides an enlightening portrait of this village originally named "NIWE TUN LIND FORD" in old english which, translates as: “The New Town By The Ford Where The Lime Trees Grow”. Using a mixture of images taken by the interns and history the book, takes the reader along this linear village,  meandering across its attractions and considering its relationship with vast tourist attraction that is Bradgate Park.
