The 2018 event featured five hours of music, dance, comedy and carnival delights, welcoming audiences old and new. The main stage saw wonderful performances from Kelly's Heroes, Ska-Amanga and Maria's Singers and many others. East Midlands Caribbean Carnival Network also performed for a third year running with costumes, music, parade and dance.
The bandstand area featured International Street Arts Festival champion Jason Maverick, traditional dance sides Bare Bones and Way of the Wyrd and a play for children based on the story of Rapunzel by Chorus Theatre. Loughborough Library Local Studies Volunteers staged a fantastic re-run of the 1929 election!
