The village of Wymeswold is situated to the north east of Loughborough in open countryside at the northern boundary of Leicestershire. Cotes Mill on the River Soar Seagrave lies in the remote, high farming country between the Soar and Wreake valleys. It is a village which blends old and modern housing. Part of the parish boundary is formed by the Fosse Way.
